Mark served as the Founding CEO of Business for Development, a renowned non-profit organization dedicated to fostering inclusive business projects across Africa, Asia, and the Pacific. During his tenure, B4D earned accolades for its groundbreaking initiatives, winning prestigious awards such as the World Economic Forum New Vision for Development Award and the Governor of Victoria Export Award. As Chief Impact Officer of Brightlight Group, Mark spearheaded the impact strategy for $750M social impact investment funds spanning Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific. His strategic leadership supported marginalized communities including first nations, iwi, homeless individuals, and persons with disabilities, driving sustainable development and economic empowerment.
Mark's illustrious career includes pivotal roles in government and trade, where he facilitated cross-border collaborations and trade partnerships. As Trade Commissioner & Consul General for the New Zealand Government, he played a pivotal role in establishing the Melbourne Consulate and fostering agrotechnology and biotechnology alliances between New Zealand, Japan, and ASEAN economies.
